Bangs are hot.
This fall all I've seen are unapologetic, wide, thick bangs. Short or long hair, these bangs are totally attention grabbing. I just came from a cut and color class and two of the three new looks that I've learned had serious bangs. Let me know if you're up for them!

actually, it's best if you have fine to normal hair. Thick hair could make this look too extreme.
The bangs go pretty far back on on the head. They are usually in a triangle shape... like how you would cut little girl bangs. What makes this edgy and mature is that the bangs generally stay the same length throughout, rather than taper down into the length. The latter kind of bang is so last season! :)
